  • No, Heart Effect is not a charity. While raising funds for charitable causes is our purpose, we do not operate our business as a charity. We are not exempt from business taxes and do not receive any benefits and privileges that charities may be privy to.

    Our charitable donations are made on behalf of the business, and they are not claimed as tax deductions.

    Currently, Heart Effect is a registered business in Australia. It is owned and operated by an individual, with Heart Effect being a 'trading as' name. You can learn more about business structures in our jurisdiction [here].

  • Operating on a donation-driven model, Heart Effect allocates the maximum amount possible from every product sale to a charitable cause, fund or organisation chosen by the customer at the point of checkout.

    These funds are collected in bulk and distributed regularly to the selected recipients, with these donations recorded and available publicly.

    Here's how it works in more detail:

    Fund Allocation


    Using an example of a $100 sale, we can demonstrate how all purchase funds are distributed:

    • 20% ($20) to charity

    • 80% ($80) to operational costs and business operations.


    From the 80%, we divide it into the following categories:


    • 50% ($40) to production costs

    • 50% ($40) to overhead costs (paying designers, staff, etc.)


    From the 20% that goes to charity, if a customer selects a specific charity, that entire portion goes to the chosen charity. If no specific charity is chosen, this sum will be divided equally among our charity pool
